Whilst I stood in line at the Food Nations Meat Fes this spring, I found myself snapping pictures of this structure from all angles. It’s a really rather captivating building. But what does it do? What is it’s purpose? The more I thought about the structures function the more intrigued by the structure I became. Turns out, it really is a seemingly pointless tower – it’s a tower for the sake of a tower. This is the Komazawa Olympic Tower, a monument to the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo at the Komazawa Olympic Park.
